Grab a few buddies (or fly solo), put on your thinking cap, and play trivia while drinking a beer. What could be better?

How about that proceeds support the Utah Rush Wheelchair Basketball Team?

The Utah Rush is a competitive wheelchair basketball program. It’s registered with the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) and travels out of state to compete against other teams.

So start brushing up on your trivia! Here’s a hint: categories will include Halloween, horror movies, wheelchair basketball, and more.

It’s the spooky season, which is perfect for Peculiar Pours. We wrote about Peculiar Pours leading up to the inaugural event last year.

Zion Canyon Craft Beer Festival

Zion Canyon Beer FestivalThe Utah craft beer scene will be well-represented at the inaugural Zion Canyon Craft Beer Festival on Saturday. Brewers from Ogden to Springdale are scheduled to pour. Food trucks, music, and a kids’ zone will be on tap as well.

Proceeds benefit Zion National Park Forever Project. Here’s a list of breweries scheduled to pour, according to Zion Brewery:

Level Crossing Tap Takeover at Craft Downstairs

When Craft by Proper opened in April, it knew it could do some cool stuff in its downstairs space. This Level Crossing Brewing Co. tap takeover sounds like one of those things.

Stop by Utah’s only Utah-only beer bar on Sunday to sip on beers from Level Crossing, which opened just weeks before Craft by Proper.

  • Libertarian Randall: Level Crossing Amber Ale infused with High West Distillery Bourye barrel char, orange marmalade, Vermont maple candies, orange peel, and smoked rosemary

Hoppy Hour at Wasatch Brewery

Join Summit Land Conservancy and Wasatch Brew Pub on Saturday for the official debut of this year’s “Clothing Hoptional” open space ale. It’s a beer brewed with wild hops from Park City’s protected open spaces.

The party takes place upstairs at Wasatch Brew Pub on Main Street in Park City.

All proceeds benefit Summit Land Conservancy’s work in protecting lands in and around Summit County.

New World / UTOG Beer on the Patio

New World Distillery - UTOG Brewing - Craft Beer EventsElyse Evans, New World Distillery’s brand ambassador and house mixologist, takes her craft to UTOG Brewing on Sunday.

“She will be shaking up three craft cocktails featuring New World Distillery spirits topped with UTOG-paired beers,” organizers say. “There will be music, great food and cocktails, and an outdoor patio with a lot of shaking going down.”

Snowbird Oktoberfest

Another year is winding down for the granddaddy of Utah Oktoberfest celebrations. But there are still a few weekends left to enjoy a stein and a sausage while breathing in the fresh mountain air. Admission to the all-ages festival is free (but the beers aren’t).

Oktobirdfest at Tracy Aviary

Oktobirdfest at Tracy AviaryUnfortunately, if you don’t already have tickets for this one, you’ll need to wait until next year. It’s sold out. But follow along with Tracy Aviary on Facebook. They regularly host bird-and-beer-themed events. In fact, here’s one set for Nov. 21.
